About Kara Ranes, LMFT
Kara Ranes is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade of experience treating mental health issues in both in- and out-patient settings. Kara graduated from Pepperdine University in 2009 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Kara received her LMFT license in 2013 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at Southern California University. Kara is EMDR-certified and specializes in treating trauma, anxiety disorders, addiction/dual-diagnosis, and mood disorders. Kara is also a survivor of breast cancer and offers therapeutic support to women navigating the diagnosis and treatment.
Kara maintains a private practice and is also the Clinical Director at Grata Health Recovery.
